The view from Boston

The Bruins tank since the trade deadline has been very successful, as right now they have pick #4 but Bruins fans would love a regulation win tonight to hurt your playoff hopes.

The insane thing is how is it possible that tonight, April 3rd, is Boston's only visit to Centre Bell????

I am just hoping tonight will be a game worthy of the rivalry.

I am hopeful, but not necessarily confident. In a game like this you forget where teams are in the standings. Just play well and the results will follow.

All games are important going forward but these next three are must haves. You have to get as many points as you possibly can against teams you're supposed to.

The only 'advantage' we have over other teams in the race is schedule strength, so any points lost in these next 3 are going to really hurt.

Yeah for all claiming this game is a trap game these are the reasons it is not.

The Bruins are 21-4 against the Habs since the 2017/18 season, They've scored 102 goals vs our 55.
This is why I keep insisting this is not a trap game. A game against Boston has never been a trap game.
The Habs will be focused on these stats and not the recent small window some are looking at.
I've never looked at games against Boston Toronto or Ottawa as trap games these are the games you get up for.

Games against Boston are never easy but I think we are getting a freebie here. Bruins are currently sitting last in the east with a 1-8-1 record and they are in the middle of a 6 games losing streak.

We need to capitalize on this opportunity and create some separation with the other teams and get a bit closer to Ottawa.

Hopefully Kapanen can give a nice boost to the team.

There are teams that no matter where in the standings they are, play certain teams real tough almost every time, and this is is one of those teams for us. So our boys better be frosty. Hope Xhekaj is in.

I read somewhere that the Bruins have won 15 of the last 16 games against the Habs. That has to change starting tonight. Ridiculous how some teams just own the Montreal Canadiens...embarrassing.

The Bruins are in tank mode.

EZ Win tonight.

It's almost a given that MSL will make zero line up changes until they lose.

Habs have a tendency to play great against upper tier teams while not performing all that well against bad teams, Boston is a bad team.
So true, they need to keep the intensity high from here to the end. Great opportunity tonight to pull within 3 points of the senators with Ottawa facing a tough home game vs TB and Montreal at home to Boston.

I'll catch the game later when back after getting my catch of the day, aiming for some barramundi. It's no longer a must watch as it's not the same rivalry as it used to be, used to be so fierce and lots of scraps and now it's pretty much all gone now.
