We got a few guys that we all like. Who shines more than the other this season? Or do we have a group of guys that all take steps forward? Interesting group of top end tier guys we are all going to be watching closely this season.

Farrell already is, voted him and Hutson.. although I would have voted Dobes over Hutson if I felt anyone else would give him credit.

Who do you think stands out as the best after this season? Might be still a close call but I'm curious. I voted Hutson and Mailloux. Not like I dislike Farrell though... I do think he is rated 1 today.

Hard for Dobes to get proper credit. I guess we need to see him turn pro and shine right away before posters pump him more than Primeau was (with his NCAA stats).

Lane Hutson. I expect He is gonna finish the year on the top 5 as point producer of Boston University. As a dman and 18 years old to be close to PPG, thats gonna be huge.

Sean Farrell, it because I already know his potentiel, like a futur middle 6 winger, wich is really good.
Logan Mailloux is gonna have a good season if he can stay healhty.

Lane Hutson is gonna be the revelation if I had to bet

In terms of hype, it will be Farrell and Hutson. Farrell could contend for the Hobey Baker and Hutson could contend for the rookie of the year award

Beck and Hutson, possibly Farrell

Hutson has superstar potential and Beck looked great with the Habs

Got confused when I saw bust in title. Too used to top prospects just plain busting.

Don't think anyone else will come close to Hutson in terms of season success.
Dobes/Farrell/Roy/Kidney/Roy will be hard pressed to improve too much on their last season. Beck/Mesar I am not sure will have the big numbers. Mailloux won't make WJC and likely take time to get going after barely playing any hockey last few years.

I think Hutson puts up over a pt/game as a rookie and lights up WJC.

By upside alone Hutson is the one but I have a hard time saying he is our best prospect because of his height. I voted Mesar.

Mailloux will become a #2-#3 in the NHL. And im pretty sure the kid will make the club next year. So I voted for him.

Hutson has a lot of potential but he will need more development time.

I have a hard time choosing even 2 guys. It's possible all these guys show grade A prospect level this season.
I voted for Hudson but Mailloux is a great pick. The lack of playing time has sort of kept him under the radar (honestly that may not be a bad thing). But I feel although he has the greatest opportunity to exceed expectations

CHL numbers should be very good for Mailloux. If no WJC, it limits the high rating we can put on him due to only CHL.

Hutson may have a crazy season at age 18 in the NCAA and at the WJC.

Both will need development time. Mailloux is bigger but he needs to learn how to play D (kind of like Barron).

Hutson may force his way upwards faster than people realize due to his potent offensive attack and how he just produces. A guy like this is someone you make exceptions for and try to find a physical stud for him to pair with. That guy maybe either Guhle or Xhekaj.

Barron and Mailloux may have similar paths. Barron just being a bit older.

This is a really nice pool to go alongside Slafkovsky, Guhle and Barron.

Plus an additional top 10 pick and 2 other picks in the 30-40 range (FLA 1st and our 2nd)

I took Mesar and Mailloux but damn I love our prospect pool!!!!

Mesar
Mailloux
Farrell
Beck
Hutson
Barron
Dobes
Roy
Engstrom
1st 2023 MTL
1st 2023 FLA

And that's without Harris/Xhekaj/Ghule and Slaffy!!!

The future is looking bright if they can develop our prospects for once.

I think the Panthers pick won't be around 30. Most likely between-16-24. I did watch their game yesterday and I was not impress at all, it's not a good defence, Brobovski was the best player on the ice yesterday. Even their offence is not looking as good as last year. Rudolph Balcer in the top6 and a 3rd line of scrum outisde of Lundell.

I'm expecting them out of the first round unless they play the Laffs ;)

Easier to develop prospects when you draft better and also have higher draft power over a span of years. Also better when there is depth and you don't have to rush a guy like Barron.
