Sven Andrighetto C/W 23 yrs old, middle six player with top-6 upside.

Jacob de La Rose C/LW 22 yrs old, defensive player.. 3rd line player.

Mike Condon backup goaltender, 25 yrs old.

Alexei Emelin #5 physical LHD d-man

David Desharnais 2nd/3rd line center

Habs are not looking for the moon but need some picks .. 3rd line LW/RW like Dwight King or Kyle Clifford.

Offer.. we can retain salary for DD and Emelin.

Claim Greening. He could probably operate close to a King or Clifford at 2.65 million. I'm actually surprised we waived him because we can actually use someone like him.

Ghetto = Late 2nd (if a team feels generous) or more likely a third rounder. His age significantly decreases his value.
De La Rose = Almost nothing. Maybe a 5th.
Condon = A 4th. Nothing much.
Emelin = Could be worth good value at @50% retained. The habs would probably set his value at that of Russel, who is a far lesser player. His contract isnt really all that bad considering Russel signed at 3.1M. BTW, Emelin is a good #4 on many teams. #5 Dmen dont play 20 minutes efficiently and efficiently on a gamely basis.
DD has negative value and likely would have to pay a team to acquire him.

As for King and/or Clifford, there is absolutely no spot for either of them. Third and fourth lines currently have players who are all better asides DD. Carr and Shaw, Danault, Mitchell, Byron are not becoming 13th Fwds for Lesser players.

For the first time in like forever it seems for the habs, they have a a bit too much depth at the forward position. Players like Ghetto, Big Mac wont be playing for the habs this season. They also have Flynn and Hudon.

Just saying that I'd rather keep Ghetto than trade him and later trade for a guy like Clifford or King.

The habs really need a future 1st/2nd line C depending on how Galchenyuk plays out. I know these are all considered plug players, but would there be any way to package them to pick up another young C w/ top 6 upside?

Duchene was available. He would be very costly but worthy of trading for. They prob would ask for Gallagher and/or Sergechev tho. Sergy is a non starter for me. Maybe they accept Pacs or an extended Radulov. But I would prefer if they go out and get one for free. UFAs or russians like Shipachyov.

It seems like we're making proposals just for the sake of making proposals now. We have no real reason to move any of these guys, except Condon, right now. Early in the season, depth is way better to have than draft picks (which we already have plenty of).

Also, the Dwight King ship has sailed away with the injury to Gaborik.

i wouldn't say that exactly Pearson suspension is what is holding me back from trading him but as soon as late next week i could see him traded Seto and mersch are making a good camp showing and making king available imo

Injuries and slumps happen.

Nothing wrong with keeping Ghetto as an extra. Depth is never a bad thing to have. He'll likely play 40ish+ games as the 13th forward.

If Emelin plays the way he did against the Leafs last time, he will be very useful to us.

He was plus-2, 2 PIMs, 1 SOG, 5 Hits (ruining Hyman in one of them), and 4 blocks. He had 2 giveaways, but when you do so much more positive than negative, you're okay.

That's the kind of game we can see how much of an asset Emelin is.

I loved that hit on Hyman. He was such a thorn in Price's and Weber's side and Emelin put him right in his place.

Not happening, packaging pieces you admit are plugs is not going to get you a young future top 6 center.

The Ducks don't have enough scoring depth to ship Rakell off for spare parts, or at all for that matter.
