And the Rangers aren't getting anyone to trade for a prospect they declared they have no intention of signing, when they can just go out & make the kid an offer as an UFA.

And the Rangers aren't getting anyone to trade for a prospect they declared they have no intention of signing, when they can just go out & make the kid an offer as an UFA.

I think since Grubbe will still be 20 for this upcoming draft, he may have to reenter it. Which would present the motivation for a team to trade for him rather than hoping they could draft him at a spot they deemed reasonable.

Tuch is not pronounced "Tuke", it's actually pronounced "Tuck", so you can feel free to make the trade without crossing any lines.

i wouldn't be surprised if Grubbe would do it.
posters love to insist that teams wont pay for rights of pending UFAs
but yet it happens every year (Buffalo for Vesey just a single example)

i realize Korczak is not big,
and some posters are fixated on his poor start this year while in Hartford
but I'd think his postseason performance is earning him further consideration
Especially if both Grubbe and Pajuniemi really are leaving the system

Grubbe goes back into the draft. If someone wants to sign him a trade is the way to make sure they can.
