  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

The bottom two teams in goals against this season are facing off. The Habs have given up 47 in 11 games and Pittsburgh 49 in 12 games. Let's see if either team can play any type of defense

This morning at the end of practice looks to be a bag skate

Those bunch of knuckles draggers can't even put 100% effort in a bag skate practice. :DD

I fully expected them to get lit up by Crosby and Malkin tomorrow.

Still, will tune up for the game and excited for some hockey again. NHL season is the best time of the year.

I was gonna say... I didn't see a ton of effort in that skate. They don't seem to believe in their coach much anymore so no amount of bag skating will fix that. Players have to buy in "system" and actually be capable of executing it. Habs' players seem not to do either. Even if they believe initially, failing at executing it game after game, season after season will just organically make you lose faith in it. and the coach who doesn't seem to know anything else.

Bleah.

Why are hockey player always treated like such divas? Even if I don't agree with my boss' way of seeing things, I have a job to do and you can bet I will provide a full effort in doing the job I am paid to do.

Players don't need to ''believe in a system'', we hear this stuff all the time before the Montreal coach get past their expiration date in Montreal. How about they take a long hard look in the mirror, and start applying themselves on the ice if they feel they have the potential to be better?

This looked like an half assed effort to me.

Accountability means Pezzetta in for Dvorak and Xhekaj in for one of Struble/Barron.

Let's see if there is any after the bag skate.

If this doesn't happen it's a bullshit organization, confirmed

Oh shit will we have an answer for Gino this time?
If we manage to keep our GA down to two we can keep pace with San Jose! :D

IMO we're still at the crossroads, because we have enough time to turn it around (in theory). So If MSL is truly looking to be in the mix I think the bottom 6 needs to be addressed with a trade or a major demotion/promotion. Because We have a decent line in the Evans line, but we need another 3rd line quality line to balance out our weak 2nd line.

When it comes to the D, I think Xhekaj has deserved the scratches and we need to invest in a vet RD to Stabilize things. If you can find a Methot to Hutson's Karlsson, then That pairing can handle 2nd pairing duties. I'd keep X and keep developing him to be a solid bottom pairing guy, and Barron can get traded I won't mind.

Matheson-Guhle
Hutson-XXX
Struble-Savard
Xhekaj, Barron

Hutson is like "Yeah, bag skate!!!" at the start.
And then "Doh, bag skate...".

But looking at them knowing Hutson is one of the slowest skater on the team...maybe this team really has piss poor conditioning.

So bag skate was only 10 minutes long from what I'm reading... It's like the amount of time required to setup a photo ops.

We've been deceived.

The line up I would like to see ….

Caufield-Suzuki-Slaf
(what happened in the Summer to Slaf ? - How come a line that was clicking super well cannot apply the same recipe year after year ?
Anderson-Evans-Gally (call it a #2 or a #3, but it is our most reliable line so far)
Heineman-Newhook-Dach (at some point, it’s gonna click)
Xhekaj-Pezzetta-Armia or Xhekaj-Kapanen-Pezzetta. Agressive forecheck hopefully.

Matheson-Guhle
Hutson-Savard
Struble-Lindstrom
(Lindstrom is a solid bottom pairing d-man).
Barron.

out: Dvorak.
I don’t want to see this guy in a Habs jersey anymore… And Armia must wake the f*** up

I prefer Xhekaj in the line up as a 7th D or as a LW.
