His play started to fall before he signed his contract to be honest. They were saying he was devastated about his contract situation and that it was impacting his play. Also Heineman was missing.

Armia is injured (wrist). That doesn’t help.

Heineman is clearly not 100% either.

But like they say, it’s playoffs hockey. You ride your injured players and go for it no matter what.

He had been shitting himself for months before taking that money. 4 pts in 17 games(starting December 29th) before signing. Now at 8 points in 34 games. A steady 19 points pace for half the season. Those rumors of him getting 4+ a year were always hilarious.

This is a must win.

We win this in regulation we move 3 pts up on NYI & NYR with same gp as NYI & a game in hand on NYR.

We would also tie NYI in RW shifting any tie breakers to ROW, which we would win.

We would also move 4 pts up on Columbus & potentially 5 points up on Detroit (they play Ottawa tonight. Home game for Wings).

This is the easiest game we have this week.

It's a brutal schedule with 3 games in 4 nights including this back-to-back. Then less than 48 hours after this back-to-back they're in Florida on Sunday (1 PM) on another 3 games in 4 nights.

They have to man up and win this game.
