I'm a fan of hyperbole, but I think there is truth in the following.

I think it's fair to say that this season has been an unmitigated disaster.

I think it's fair to say that fans were grossly and willingly misled by management.

I think it's fair to say that fans that put this team on a pedestal need to step back and realize that the organization isn't worthy to be placed above any other organization in hockey.

I think it's fair to say that the mystique of a classy and proud organization has become a distant memory. We are not so different than the Maple Leafs.

I think it's fair to say that the team has to work to earn back the respect of the fans. Those empty seats won't be so easy to fill if the product doesn't produce results. Having chatted with local business owners during my visit, they've been negatively impacted by the team's performance.

I think it's fair to say that a team that "was the tightest ever" is only as tight as their win/loss record.

I think it's fair to say that the French/English issue on and off the ice will hamper the success of this team in perpetuity.

I think it's fair to say that the team itself has become an over saturated product.

I think it's fair to say I need to find a new hobby ;)

i think its fair to say you don't have a lot of faith in your team:laugh:

look man it sucked...but 100% of the reason we're not top spot in the division right now is cause carey price missed the whole damn here....had he been there i am confident that bergevin would have realized the potential o this season and made a move for a top six forward, the time was right until price went down...next year will be different every body needs to calm the **** down this is probably the best thing hat could have happened to us because i highly doubt anyone stopping chicago or LA this year. next year when their in cap hell again will be our chance to strike

I get that even though I'm not so sure MB would have made that move for a top 6 forward....I firmly believe that adversity brings out the true character in people.

Decisions were made because of a huge event in Price getting hurt. How/why those decisions were made and the logic or lack thereof are subject to scrutiny and reflection.

Feel free to cheer for one of the Albertan teams!

Really? I didn't know that was an option. To think 40+ years of my life, 20+ of which I've lived in Alberta and all this time there was an option to switch allegiances. Mind is blown. I wish I was smart enough to think of this on my own. Thank you so much kind sir for opening my eyes.

Here I thought expressing dissatisfaction over my life long fanaticism about the greatest franchise in sports history was all I could do. Wow. I never cease to learn something new every day.

People just need to relax. The NHL is like the NFL in which your goalie is like your quarterback. When you live in a salary cap world it makes very little sense to pay a backup lots of money. You just have to assume that your starter is going to be your starter.

When Price is in net the team just plays with much more of a confidence. He is a great passer and takes some heat off of the defense. Thus making the whole team better.

I don't think I've ever disengaged so fully from the Habs as I did this year, and I've been a fan since birth.

If Therrien is back next season I don't see my interest being much different.

Personally, I disagree. You are over the top.

I still love watching the Habs play and am happy to see kids like Carr and McCarron on the cusp.

In a 30 team league, expectations should be lowered for any NHL fan who cares for his mental health.

The Habs have some great parts. With a high draft pick and a key UFA, they are looking pretty good for 2016-2017.

MT won't be the coach for all of eternity, so just bide your time, bro.

You know it.

With Price playing all year, Habs are in the PO next week.

Bergevin has already earned his "Patience & Caution" badge. They're virtues, no question. But now he has to get his "Big Balls" badge. You need both badges to get the coveted "Good GM" stripe.

I did say I was a fan of hyperbole. You hit the nail on the head with expectations must be lowered. As an older Habs fan I have been conditioned to measure success with Cup banners. I asked a friend why he still cheers for the Oilers and he said, he just loves hockey. Good enough I guess.

Once Price is back in net all this will be forgotten in next years playoffs

Guys like Gallagher, PK, and petry need to avoid long term injuries too.

Pacioretty needs to work on getting his explosive stride back. I don't know if he fully recovered from his injury last summer.

Markov will be one year older with little help in sight.

Plus, the habs still need to find secondary scoring behind Gallagher, Pacioretty, and galchenyuk. This is even more important this year because I question whether the habs can continue count on plekanec to get 20+ goals. I don't think guys like eller, andrighetto, or any of the recalls this year fit that solution going into 2016-2017.

I've said that the habs are back to where they were in the 2015 off season, but I should add that there has to be more urgency to fill those holes seriously compared to last year.

If he displays his big balls and takes action this summer, it doesn't undo four years of complacency with this roster, nor the awful boring hockey he's espoused. That's where you and I differ. We both know what should be done this summer and onward - you think what he's done (very little) was acceptable up until Price got injured. I think not one off-season of BargainBin has been acceptable. He's been riding an inherited, supremely talented core into the ground.

You're overreacting. We have a good core of young guys and a top-10 pick in the draft, maybe even a top-3 pick that could instantly slot into the lineup if we're lucky.

Bergevin's a solid GM and I'm confident he'll do what needs to be done this summer

This year might end up being a blessing in disguise. Re tool in the off season and make the necessary changes
Real make or break off season for Mb

Fair enough assessment of what-was. Still leaves the question of what-will-be. If Bergevin makes an impact trade and fires Therrien, and the team gets back its early season mojo, can you forgive past sins and jump back on the bandwagon? Think of it like make-up sex...

This Habs fanatic is watching the last game at Northlands, epic moments in hockey. Seeing Walter Gretzky at this event Great as was his son Wayne, Wow what a Dad, Grandad, Great Grandfather that man must be for those very fortunate children!!!...:handclap::handclap::handclap:

Besides all of that one of my personal favorites non-Hab, the Great Mark Messier and Grant Fuhr, etc. etc. etc.!!!...:nod::nod:

If you're missing this game you are missing Hockey History!!!!!.......:handclap::handclap::handclap:

I think it's fair to say you believe this. That's about it.

I actually believe management drank from the same Kool Aid they tried to feed us and actually believed, after a few playoff runs, that the team was actually better than it is.
