Our PP was so bad it had to be done .. with Berube we will employ a top of point slap shot system with 2 screeners and tippers .. and 2 guys on sides .. my guess Willy and Matty on sides .. maybe Timmer at top with slapper and 2 bigger guys down low on screens so tenders cant see shots .. Mitch and JT will slide too PP2 likely

There's no chance a 99 point man like Marner plays on pp2. When our PP is clicking he is a huge reason why.

Well he can't fire da puck in 3 triangle slots in top middle or on each circle top .. and he can't handle da heavy play in front of net in 2 screener spots .. so there really is no position in Berube's PP configuration for him .. it is my understanding that Mitch has already been informed of this .. you gotta understand we are not gonna play da old program of puck possession anymore .. it is long gone .. we are gonna play a heavy down low screen and tip style of PP1

I am not hopeful for Connor Timmons chances of making the team.
BUT
He would make sense as a cheap 3rd pairing D and I am confident he can evolve into a PP1.
Timmons only makes the team if Lily is traded. TREE is hell bent on acquiring 2-RHD IMO.

And JTs most useful contribution is on the PP. He is a shooter. I am all for having PP1 and PP2 a little more even in minutes IF you have comparable talent for both units.
Leafs are constructed heavily top loaded in offensive talent, keep playing them 1:30+ just like the Oilers.
