Last three years, the Boston trio has a 63% xGF% and 66% GF% at 5v5, while the Pens trio has a 52% xGF% and a 57% GF% at 5v5. The Boston group was split up a lot last year and it looks like that’ll likely continue to be the case even once Marchand is back, it they’ve proven to be more effective in recent years. Granted Crosby is looking like the most effective 5v5 he’s been since 18-19, and Marchand might not look 100% coming back from surgery, but as it stands I’d take the Boston guys once Marchand is healthy barring anything changing in the meantime.

Crosby is a bit better than Bergeron, but I think Marchand is a clear step above Guentzel and Pastrnak is a massive jump on Rust. Make it Guentzel-Crosby vs Marchand-Bergeron and I think it's closer, including Rust and Pastrnak makes it lopsided.

The Perfection line.

I think the Pens line is very good obviously, but it relies a lot on Crosby driving the bus IMO. When he's on beast mode it opens more stuff for the other two guys, but without him they're not going to be elite.

B's line kept the Bruins as a strong playoff team when they didn't have very good secondary scoring (and then made the cup finals when they boosted the depth). They also form a very dangerous PP unit without an elite QB.
