Confirmed...
Too funny. There was also that time Shorthouse won the draw live on air.

Canucks have limited assets. Cutoff is back to Hughes in Rd 1 of 2018. Since then, either the picks didn't amount to anything or were used in trade, often resulting in nothing right now aside from Miller for the 2019 3rd and 2020 1st. OEL deal with Garland cost a 1st and 2nd. Dick/Mik cost assets to dump. Add in the Lindholm trade, there isn't much left from post Q. Hughes.Batherson would be a very good add but not sure the Vancouver Canucks have the pieces or cap space next year to add him while keeping Brock / Suter around.
Also did JT look off still to anyone else? I get its his first media appearance but he looked like a guy going through the motions
Dhaliwal reporting today on the show that he’s heard Deharnais’s name out there. Mentioned he’s heard it from a few sources.
Goes on to say that the Canucks have no issues moving on from guys who don’t work out. I’m paraphrasing but that’s the gist.
Deharnais is slow but also really struggles to move the puck under pressure. Could see a team him on though.
Nobody is trading for Heinen or Desharnais. Give your head a shake. WTF.
counterpoint: heinen, desharnais and a 2nd for rasmus andersson?
Trading Suter is an awful idea. Dude brings a ton of value relative to his cap hityes Heinen/Hoglander...i would even add Suter if i thought Raty could move into his spot. Skatng is still an issue though even if it's getting closer. Can't risk being deficient down the middle vs losing a winger.
Desharnais is 2 million wasted and needs to go.
Krebs and Jokiharju should be of interest.
The guy's been doing the job keeping them afloat as 2C for $1.6M...so trade him? He can play wing on your top line. He can solidify the bottom-six. Yeah. I don't get some people. Bafflling.Trading Suter is an awful idea. Dude brings a ton of value relative to his cap hit
Batherson is similar to Boeser - complementary player, great offensively but not great defensively. And we probably only have space for one of him and Brock, and I probably defer to the homegrown guy.Batherson would be a very good add but not sure the Vancouver Canucks have the pieces or cap space next year to add him while keeping Brock / Suter around.
If they do chase Pettersson, I love the idea of trying to get O'Connor too.VD, Hoglander + pick/prospect for Petterson + O'Connor.
He's UFA though. So does Hoglander at his current cap hit once he gets going which he willTrading Suter is an awful idea. Dude brings a ton of value relative to his cap hit
I don't really think Heinen and Desharnais are comparable at all. Desharnais doesn't look like a consistent NHL player, and certainly not on a competitive team, while Heinen looks fines to me although his point totals are bit lower than you'd expect.Nobody is trading for Heinen or Desharnais. Give your head a shake. WTF.
"Here have these crappy contracts we literally just signed ... durrrr."
If you told me that stat about Soucy at the beginning of the year I wouldn't believe you, his fall-off has been remarkable. Desharnais... less surprising.Looking at numbers for defenders (ES, min 1000 mins across 23/24 and 24/25 combined), one thing that stands out is that the Canucks have the two worst defenders in the league in primary assists/60: Desharnais and Soucy.
Desharnais has zero primary assists in over 1200 minutes played. Soucy had one in 1000 minutes played.
Even a guy like Juulsen had three in under 700 minutes last year.

Ok go back to Desharnais Heinen Karlsson for KeAndre Miller then. Rangers will be drooling over that package.Trading Suter is an awful idea. Dude brings a ton of value relative to his cap hit
