I don't understand France's tactics. They seem to be wanting to play some version of total football, with players allowed a lot of freedom to roam around.

But they just don't have the players nor the familiarity to pull it off, players getting in each others way and can't read where to move and where to pass.

More than anything, Austria is great at pressing and counter pressing. But awful at creating with the ball.
