Then they tail off and become increasingly less convincing as the game goes on before snatching something in the final ten minutes as their talisman dives a bit and the ref finally gives in and gives them one. Nothing to worry about.

Don't really need stats. Just watching the match alone will give you the impression that this is a pretty odd performance by England. If Serbia had gotten just that one extra touch right up front, they could certainly be on the scoreboard..maybe multiple times.

I am more surprised by Serbia composure in possession they have did very well holding the ball. They still have not created many chances either. I think people are very harsh criticizing both side. It's not a classic but both team have done what they have to do with Serbia staying in the game and england scoring early.
