Hockey is nowhere near as popular in the Czech Republic as some people think, the WC gets a lot of hype every year but that's about it.Funny how Finland has surpassed Czech's in player development.
He was underneath the whole man!
So you meant it literally as in Gudas made himself very low, not that the hit was low as in it was a dirty hit? xD

I know. It's a shame that their hockey culture has been diminishing ever since the fall of Czechoslovakia.Hockey is nowhere near as popular in the Czech Republic as some people think, the WC gets a lot of hype every year but that's about it.

Hammertime?
I mostly meant the impact on quality. Czech's aren't as strong as they used to be. Perhaps due to the retirement of players that were coached during the days of Czechoslovakia? One would think that Czechoslovakia was more adept at training high level talent.I don't think so ... the popularity of hockey is quite stable, it was never better. The only difference was that before we had an arch enemy (soviet union - hockey was the only way we could stick it to them), but again, the international level was the only thing that really mattered to vast majority of ppl, same as now.
