Pulju didn't play because he didn't play well in the practise games. Half a period of good play doesn't mean there needs to be a revisionist history and acting that him not being in the opening line-up was an unfathonable move by the coaches. Great that he is playing really well now.

It should have been pretty easy to know/see that Pulju wasn't at his normal form at the EHT, just like Filppula, Aho weren't either.

Skating is a huge part of Puljus game and I'm not at all surprised by this what we now see.

Now I guess you guys will have to admit I'm not doom and glooming for nothing.

They should fire the coach mid tournament, let's see if they have the balls.

But the damage is already done. Apparently Marjamäki offering 4th line roles to players like Armia(who'd be a top 2 player on the team) made them decline.

A couple practice games( by the same logic ) doesnt take away the fact that Puljujarvi is one of the best players on this Finland team.

They don't, it would be awkward to go to sauna again with Lauri

Nevertheless, handing a spot for an 19 yo first-time rookie despite other players playing better than him is not something that is basically ever done.
EDIT: At the men's NT.

Even Filppula said after the 1st practise game he was suffering from the flight and felt pretty garbage. That's expected, but apparently not for JP.

Not really when you think about it, he's the only guy in that team with a good shot. That alone warrants him a spot in the team.

Antoine Roussel !! l'agitateur Texan.

... 4-1 !!

Finns will wake up tomorrow ...and see that their is still a sun ... that the earth still orbits around and that life is going forward !!

The fact is that these french s are not a joke ... half of them are AHL/NHL/KHL/SEL/NLA !!! and they have this mojo when it is in their favor. This latin emotional boost that, when with you, makes you better.

Whatever ... interesting and surprising game.

All of the other top9 forwards weren't playing better. The team looked abysmal 5on5.

You start Pulju and if he struggles against the "weaker" teams you sit him. You don't start him on the bench.
With his skating back he's a completely different looking player.

A hack in the golden era. First almost relegated in the WJC and now this....

Luckily the golden era saying goes to our prospects/u23 group.

Otherwise this would be even more embarrassing
