Huh. Kind of surprised Frolik isn't playing for the Czechs.

Also, if you have Vlasic on your bottom pair, you're doing something right. I wonder if that's a mistake, as Vlasic is better than Calvin De Haan.

at this point i think kovar is better player than plekanec. hope he can show it on ice

drop the puck.

After the last 2 tournaments, we may be due for a stinker...but am hoping for the best.

Way too many Flyers and crappy goaltending is going to make it tough for me to get invested in this team but what other hockey can I watch during the day?

I will try to watch most of the game at work. I predict a pretty close game on ice with a final score of 4-2 Canada. Not really impressed with the Czech defencemen.

At the arena right now and i am not impressed with the effort the French have put into the games. This my 8th games and there is nothing anywhere in Paris saying the games are on

If you mean fan zones, there is not a single one in the entire city. That's because of the possible terrorist threat. Yeah, welcome to Europe, I guess...

I don't want to say that you should be impressed... it's nothing spectacular. But it should be one of the best groups of defensemen that we have put together since a long time. We'll see how they perform on the ice though.

Objectively it should be better defense than in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 & 2012, imo.

Need to expose that weak Czech D with a fast forecheck.

Frolik wasn't cleared to play, as he had a wrist injury that hadn't healed.

The biggest ice hockey event of the year has started (at least for me)! I think we are able to play a close game against Canadians.

Of course, gimmick tournament which was held in September can't be compared to World Hockey Championshp. WHC has great atmosphere and feeling to it, you know, when it's getting warm outside that it's time for the WHC, great time of the year, just like WJC around the Christmas and New Year day.

Hopefully tonight we will see different scenario than first ten minutes czech battle strike with no result slowly changing to 3:0 Canada easy lead.

I am really curious what to expect from this game. We won't be able to skate with Canada for 60 minutes, so if we jump on them right from the get go, it may cause problems later in the game.
