I'm already dying, I really want us Finns to win this game and get a nice confidence boost, atleast I want to see us being competitive against Canada, that's a helluva lineup for them.

Veikkaus gives 3.50 odds for Finland's win. Never have I been this tempted to rob from arts and youth work.

Hoping for a tight and entertaining game.
We have won every game so far, and the opponent haven't been leading in any of them.
Let's see if it changes tonight.

Our D will be in trouble that's for sure.

we lose only one period (the third against France there we have a 3-0 lead)

but today we have the first "really challenge".

of the 6000+ ticket sold for this game--I am told about 95% are in the hands of the Fins..this will be a fun game to attend.

For anyone who has ever thought about coming to Saint Petersburg it is great--with the ruble so low I have had a great stay

Salmela is out because o injury

Salmela has "acute back injury", what ever it's but either way Salmela is out from the entire tournament.

Lineup (from yle : http://yle.fi/urheilu/3-8887053 )
Laine - Barkov - Jokinen
Granlund - Koivu - Komarov
Aho - Koskiranta - Pyörälä
Pihlström - Sallinen - Rantanen

-13. attacker: Lajunen

Pokka - Lindell
Jaakola - Hietanen
Kukkonen - Ohtamaa
-7. defender: Kivistö

Goalies: Koskinen (Saros)

Best game of the tournament coming up. The first real challenge for both teams. Very excited to see Laine and Barkov out there against McDavid & co.

I would like to see that as well.. but likely not happening. Now we will see what the Finnish defence can do against a top team. The nr one defender in the Finnish team is a guy who was ~nr 9 in the Dallas depth chart (and that was not a great defence) and spent his season in the AHL. The canadien defence is far superior.

The Finnish forwards though with even haflway decent defence could put up a good fight....but they won't be getting the puck too much from the defenders today. Ristolainen and Vatanen will be sorely missed.
