Look, I'm not part of the group saying he is bad. In fact he one of the best Czech forwards outside of NHL. Its just been a bit of a running gag because Cervenka has the tendency to miss on a lot of chances.

Because every single contact with the puck he has made in this tournament is a complete disaster so far? I honestly don't remember to see him do anything correctly except that goal a while ago.

He is a great player, no doubt but he has always underachieved in national team.. I would call him the best most frustrating player to watch
That beining said I don't think he's our worst player at this WHC, not even close.

Don't get me wrong, Krejcik is horrible but can't reach the vanity Cervenka has shown.. not even close.

I honestly think that there is no difference between playing USA or SWE, RUS would probably be a bit worse, but hard to say we often seemed to show up against RUS in important matches... Either way, we will be the underdog in QF.

I agree with you, maybe it isn't that important. Russia has always been a good opponent for us. But this years Russian team is somehow more scary than other years'.

Cervenka is a great player, but he's able to absolutely burn five 100% scoring chances and then scores on the sixth one, usually in a game when it doesn't matter.

BUT the guy scored a hatty in a bronze game against Russia, what a legend
