Ya, maybe kalpa guys wouldnt have turned whole course, but i think mistake to not take those two and have mentioned guys in.

Otherwise agree but Kukkonen is actually good. Still. I was like wtf on him first, too. But i have seen great and prertty mistakeless D fron him. Its actually an asset.

Oh and hietanen. He should be puck moving D, does nothing. He also chokes any PP, every year. Cannot give pass for onetimer 5on3' Choked even laine last year. Laine didint get to one time even 5on3, hietanen always gave puck too late and not in sweet spot. Horrible passes. Not as Carbage as some, but carbage.

I didn't watch Canada game but i agree most what you said.
Finland's game has been really slow during the tournament and it shows.

Who ever is next head coach in Finland's men's national i hope that coach is someone who knows modern hockey tactics and that how to build medal contender team.
Jussi Ahokas and Karri Kivi are potential names to Marjamaki's position but Juuso Nieminen who coached Finland U18 WJC silver this spring wouldn't be bad choice either.

But maybe it's still better to stay cool and look next years winter Olympics and world championships before to start question Marjamaki's position in national teams head coach. Late isn't first national team coach in Finland who's had bad start in world championships.

Rather a boring game - it was quite obvious that there wasn't much to play for. Finland couldn't force Canada out of their comfort zone but on the other hand they barely tried... I don't expect that this team will medal in the tournament but it will certainly be more focused and disciplined in the playoff matches (a hopeful plural there)

I had a blast last night at the game ! Honka was impressive last night ! He deserved player of the game for Finland (Dallas has a gem).

Duchene finally getting on the board. Marner's first goal was absolutely filthy last night.

Absolutely loved Coopers quote about Marner after the game:

"You see him with the puck and you think he's got 1 of 3 options, but then he goes and creates options 4, 5 and 6"

Jules of Honka is one of the best players in Finnish team tonight. Rest of them quite blehrgh...

Unfortunately this has been his fate everytime I watch him in international play: a superior offensive mind on the blueline whose Finnish forwards aren't talented enough to get open for him while coaching feeds into this blue collar system that doesn't maximize the talent.

So glad he's in Dallas. And even (gladder) that Nill never made some idiotic move to trade Honka for Ben Bishop (or Cam Talbot for that matter) when even Stars fans were clamoring for it.

I always fear that Honka loses the puck when he goes roaming, deking guys on offensive zone, specially when we played Canada.. But somehow hes skating is so good he gets away with it. He's our poor Karlsson. Actually he's defence is probably at least as good as Karlsson, but offensively Poor karlsson :D

I actually have wanted the same all tournament. Id also like to see something around this if that would happen:

Rantanen-Aho-Puljujärvi
Savinainen-Filppula-Osala(or M.Aaltonen)

Puljujärvi is in only because of the old "Aho-connection". Savinainen play PP with Fil and they have connected nicely. I have no clue why Savinainen is playing with Sallinen-Pihlström when they only bring him down.

The force is strong in me. I c Late is reading HF... :D
