because JMA is a floater who got kicked from Jokerit in KHL and benched by HIFK in Liiga-playoffs. He has no business in the national team to begin with. Pulju hasnt been good at anything else than skating - hes shots been lousy and passing even worse. None of them can defend. Both are on the team only because they have played in Kärpät...

He actually has been horrible the games he has played. Passing, shots and defence suck. He lacks confidence and is worst on team with JMA

Oilers effed up his development, he's more or less lost out on the ice. Except for the France game, he's been the worst player on his line in every game. Very little confidence, bad passsing and decision making, slow. Not the same Jesse as last season.
 
This team is terrible to watch. It's not only the players but the coach as well. One good line that's not having a good game and that's all.
That said, I'm not all too worried about how our WC/Olympic team looks like five years from today.

He should be playing cuz the rest of the team stinks even more,so at least he gets some ice time.

Berry Hill is the worst coach I have seen in a while.
 
Without the penalties against Finland it could stand 1-1. At least the penalty against Aho was not justified in my opinion.

Definitely not a good team for Finland, but Pulju has been in general one of the worst players in this sad bunch. When he got off the bench to play in the final period against France he looked really promising, but was also darn inefficient. Then after that he was worse by every game. With his last game's performance it was not after all that wrong to bench him really. He has been really very disappointing. :shakehead
 
Our biggest problem is our coach Marjamäki and his sauna-pals in management. Most Finns wanted him fired after WC and the play of the national team has been bad all year. The guy chooses the players that played for him before the players entitled too it. He also threats our NHL:ers like 12yr olds and shouts "skate,skate" etc during games. Thats a big reason for why they wont play for him. He also uses theese 80-90`s Swedish slow-attack tactics that which are too slow nowadays. Regroup around own goal and let the opponent regroup too... Lousy to watch and doesnt win games. We are a lost nation until he is sacked....

The best thing the coach has done is to bench JMA and Pulju. Another Kärpät fan-boy I see...:help:

Is he a bust in the making? With the way he played at world juniors i have a hard time believing that. Maybe sweden can have him back :sarcasm:

Healthy scratched once again.
Good job for Marjamaki to destroy 19 yrs old kid's self confidence.

Hopefully Oilers is stanley cup favorite next season and Puljujarvi has some role in Oilers team.
I don't bash Finnish coaches too easily but in this situation i have to say Marjamaki doesn't deserve to coach Jesse Puljujarvi so long when late is Team Finland's head coach.
 
With zero real motivation for Canada (at this point, it's just a friendly for them), this is the easiest possible moment for Finland to try to beat them.
 
I think Marner will become a staple on future team canada rosters, but shame it may never be an olympic roster anymore

Are you actually serious? Is Team Finland a place where we are supposed to develope Puljujärvi for Oilers? Fact is - Pulju hasnt earned to be playing on the team. He is doing bad decisions, has bad aim atm and his passes are even worse. He is a liability on the ice atm. He should play in AHL and build up his confidence or return to Europe. His place atm isnt in the national team.
