GDT: Group B - May 14 - Switzerland (2) vs Finland (3) OT

We deserve to win the game, but feeling is not normal. With paskamäki as coach, tbh, its not business as usual. There is full fear we cant barry anyting and swiss scores an occassional goal in 3rd
 
Rather glad this period is over.

Bodenmann in Swiss TV agreeing 2nd wasn't as good and that Swiss need to attack more.
 
Switzerland were clearly better in then first and the finns in the second. Close game
 
Trailing Finland is funner than turtling Finland.

Think about this: having played a game vs Canada that had gone into OT less than 24h ago, we're up 2-1 after two periods of hockey against you. I guarantee you, we won't win this one, PURELY on the basis that we're down 1 D and we played a hard fought game against the top nation in the world, while you are rested. Count yourself lucky. Switzerland has shown in this game that even dog tired, we can be winning against you. This is a fact, look at the scoreboard.
 
Oh well, Switzerland doesn't impress but we can't - typically, once again - score. The Swiss were bit lucky to get so easily to lead, but with efficient finishing we would be now leading the game. What can we do, this is Finland for you...
 
I expect an onslaught by the Fins in the 3rd.
Our team starts to lose its legs, as it was apparent in the 2nd.

Don't like to be the doom and gloom guy, but my gut tells me that this will be a loss.

Same feeling here. Shame it couldn't have been a game on level ground. Whoever did the scheduling... I am not going to say what I think of that.

Gutsy effort through two periods though. I thought we were going to be steamrolled by Finland. Yesterday my forecast was 4-0 for Finland.

For how it has been for finland, I think you got great odds to win, even if your guys are exhausted. We suck and when we dont suck, we are snake bitten.
 
Don't worry...Finland may continue the domination in the 3rd, but we will not be able to score (I keep a general rule of 20 Finnish shots on goal produce 1 goal), and Swiss will score 3-1 on a fast counter attack...my prediction

Tbh it's not that big of an accomplishment to get a win against this Finnish team.
