Exactly, hard to believe Pulju isn't good enough to play at least on the 4th line. Wasn't even worth sending him over.

The coach is really horrible, and I practically blame him for a huge amount of stupid decisions. I would have myself still given Pulju more chances to play, but on the other hand I have some understanding even for him scratching Pulju. Honestly Pulju has been really pretty bad after the end of the game against France where he was really looking good. Otherwise he has been mostly disappointing and hasn't added really too much positive things to the team when he has been playing. I'm honestly very disappointed in what kind of a player he is at the moment. Looks like he hasn't developed at all during his last year. :shakehead

13 (SUI) shots to 4 (FIN). Total Finnish control, I agree. :biglaugh:

Did you watch the game? We melt in mid perioid. Before the two goals you had like 4 shots 2 goals and got the momentum and the poweplays. You didint dominate at all, got the goals out of nowhere.

Does Finland mathematically still have a chance to make the quarter finals?

Our press said today we still have chance to win the group, mathematically, because of Switzerland-Canada result.

Realistically, then again...

We just got to witness the biggest reason why Avalanche is the trainwreck they are. One of their leading player in Rantanen was solely in responsible for the two Swiss goals. (Mindset of Avalanche players)

Turn-over in offensive blue line = stopped backcheking = Swiss goal
Poor defensive zone coverage = should have gone for the wide side defender but went for the puck = Swiss goal

This is the mindset of a player that has been playing losing adult hockey for his whole career.

Doesnt? We were controlling the puck and had few good chances. Then our goalie **** his pants and ref bought dives, resulting in swiss controll for a while. Cant se how we dont deserve that goal

For the record, ofc im full bias for finns. Doesnt mean i dont try to talk truth.

Fire Marjamäki though. No we arent good. Just dont see how we dont deserve to score. Like we hadnt good controll alot in that perioid.

[MOD] If anyone was hurt by the refs it was the Swiss, the 2+10 was total crap - shouldn't have been even a minor. Swiss had much more chances and more quality chances. And unlike Finland, SUI can actually successfully pass a puck more than 50% of the time...

He's still a teenager, he'll be just fine in the coming years. Development isn't always linear.

I appreciate the effort to give Genoni the chance to pump up his save % , but it's time to start skating again

yea, Finland looks better in the 2nd so far .. its like the teams switched dreses

Swiss dominating again for first 5min - in its own end without the puck. Jusy like in start of 1st.

For fellow Finns who think we dominated the 1st period, I don't know what game you are watching. Our game was messed up as David Hasselhoff's life during the last 20 years.

This 2nd period is starting to look better. Still not impressed, though.

First shot for swiss after 6.5min. This time no goal out of nowhere. Hopefully not in future, neither.

actually, they have 3 already. But it explains how you think that the first was somehow acceptable for the Finnish team

Switzerland was only very solid in the first. There was no domination.

No domination in terms of possession, but in terms of SOG and more importantly quality scoring chances the SUI indeed dominated the 1st... Anyway SUI seem to have trouble skating now, FIN faster everywhere.
