Slovenia has a lot of troubles in the net. GK wasn't good enough, d-men didn't clear the slot and rebounds.
And forwards worked well but don't shoot. Cycling, puck to the blue line, and no shot...
Belarus was deadly because they didn't hesitate to put the puck to the net.

who knows, Belarus might finish this WC just a point behind Latvia in the final standings. Alas, there are no such squads as unmotivated Danes, Div1 dwellers Italy and mediocre and starless Slovakia in our group. So, enjoy the moment.

Slovenia forwards would need to win 1-1 battles to actually get some quality shots away. Belarus defense is pretty good...even without Denisov. To win this, Slovenian defense would need to get involved in offense but they're not good enough. They always get caught when they try.

What's your beef with Belarus? Is it a targeted hatred, or do you just despise everything that has/had to do with former USSR? Yeah, we clearly don't have the strongest team this year, and worse yet, we've managed to lose a few good young players to Russia. But we still have both our youth NTs in the top division and generally the strongest hockey in the region. Even if we'd fall, we would be back up in 2019. So...

Belarus 2nd line (Sharangovich-Linglet-Pavlovich) scored 3 times in this game, and it is the one that actually showed up at this tournament. 3 goal handicap should get Belarus through. A lot of things need to be sorted out after the tournament in Team Belarus, top to bottom. And I see these changes coming.
They had plenty of quality shots in the 1st, what hapened is the combination of slovenia playing worse now and BLR playing better than in the first... now we can just argue if SLO started playing worse because BLR won't alow them to play better or if BLR plays better because SLO alowed them to do so

Everyone in our region has both good and bad years. It's not like your team is a shoo-in to the QFs every year. And the 3 last games of the U-18 tournament demonstrated that it's probably us who'll have better chances in the coming years. But, you know, keep basking in your superiority while you can...
No actually. And I don't see anything wrong about relegation. Sometimes one step back makes two steps forward. The only thing that makes me feel sorry, if Belarus gets relegated Latvia's and Belarus' bid for WHC 2021 have no chances. Which, by the way, means that Latvia won't see WHC in foreseeble future. But it's not our problem.

My beef is with seeing terrible hockey in the elite division, which BLR is consistently providing for the last two years...
And as I wrote before:
I'm not arguing Slovenia has better players, they don't, even if they stay in the elite this year they are likely to get relegated in future years anyway... However I very much dislike how BLR is playing last two years and being relegated might trigger some changes in their game (its the opposite of slovenia, if they get relegated they would probably return soon - simply because hockey is very popular in BLR, much more than in other countries outside of top 6...)

And you like the level of hockey presented by Slovenia and the likes? Belarus is playing as well as they can at the moment. Yeah, it sucked pretty badly recently, but it isn't all gloom ahead - the 90s generational "hole" is at an end, and 21st century children are growing up. I don't see what good falling down to D1 would do.

Don't you have enough of your own?..Neither did Slovenia, to be honest. Congrats to Belarus, they won fair and square, Slovenia was pure shit in this tournament.

This was realistically to expect. Being relegated is not that bad as are the conditions for hockey in Slovenia. We basically have no youth and our league( if that can even be called a league) is ridiculous. How can we have national team in Elite that often is mind-boggling.
