Hahahaha refs penalty ends, he gives also 10min to ourmarjamäki D so we get to sit hännikäinen, and universe calls for justice, we get a breakaway because of penalty and win anyway.

Karma. Justice. But we still suck and marjamäki needs to be out

Can't wait to hear Marjamakis comments.

Oh Marjamaki, that's just sad.

It is absolutely terrible to listen to Mertaranta, the Finnish commentator. He's a big reason why Finnish hockey culture is ingrained with constant crying over referees. Luckily there are some decent streams available with English or Swedish commentary, they're a lot more tolerable.

Mertaranta lacks any advanced knowledge of the sport.

He is there for a reason. 95% of viewers are at the same level than him.

The Icing was NOT wrong call.

It is called at the upper b-spot. Savinainen was clearly behind Norwegian defender at that point.

Isn't it called at the dots? Clearly not icing. Terrible call by terrible refs.

If it's a close call they tend to favour the defenseman.

It was close, wasn't the worst call in history.

So.

Another game... pretty much exactly to spec. I must say, this team just can't overachieve. But neither does it underachieve royally.

This was, btw, as a whole, the most constant game this far. This team's on an upward trend.

Now, as for Marjamäki's status... well, basically nothing's changed in my opinion. It all still hinges on whether they miss the QF or not. If they do, then there should be no other option than letting him go, whether it's really all his fault or no. You can't blame a coach for the results in single games, but he does carry the main responsibility of the overall result.

You could see the Norwegians were tired in that OT. Very poor, but I can accept that as I can´t blame the effort.

For some reason Norwegian hockey (and handball) players always play with a lot of heart. Football players on the other hand.......

My favorite part of the match was during Maamme-laulu when someone in the audience shouted "Hävetkää!". Sums my feelings up pretty well.

Finns, don't give up the hope. There is still the possibility that Finland loses against Switzerland and Canada anyway. Norway can still play against Belarus. If Norway wins Finland misses quarterfinal and it's very likely that we get rid of Marjamäki.

They've got a bad case of playlikecrapiatus. Only cure for this is the good riddance of marjaboy

This is absolutely appropriate in an Asterix tournament where the other guy is the likeable underdog*.

* yeah, debatable at this point

I'm now convinced that we could lose to Italy 10-0 and you still wouldn't change your stance on him. Good for you I guess.

If we reach the QF's, it'll be with luck and nothing else.

It was at least a tie at the dot with the Finnish player (whoever it was) clearly taking over.

So they gave the defenseman the edge, that happens all the time.

Yeah, they keep barely beating these teams and they are trending up?While once again not being able to defend a lead
Sure. :help:

The teams best hope is that Canada isn't motivated, they see us as a B level team and gives us a fighting chance that way.

You related to "this is fine"-dog?

If Finland reaches the quarterfinal, but this should lose very high(for example 1:7 vs USA),then one
should dismiss the Coach,nevertheless.

Well, excuse me if it's feelings >>>>>> facts for you lot.
Finland has been failing ever since Marjamäki stepped in. Now we are continuously struggling against weaker countries. Sure, at times we have a bad game against a weaker opponent, but that's a one time thing.

Do you even watch the games? Any sensible person would question Marjamäki's abilities by now.
