Not really liking where this game is heading for Sweden it leans more towards USA at this point

Yes, you are the only one.
No he isn't. Goals on big ice are cleaner. In the NHL bathtub, every game is decided by puck bounces. NHL teams pass like **** when the players have no reaction time and mostly only play dump and chase, which is fine for periods of time, but not the entire game. It's not entertaining watching a trench battle in front of the net for goals. Seriously, it's like a giant bear hug with 8 players laying like a meat wall in the crease, where one guy rolls a dice. Call me a moron if I rather see a screened snipe in the top corner from a beautiful passing play, where the team doesn't go into total scramble mode every 45 seconds for some seriously ugly hockey.

Defensemen have an easier time to keep the play alive on big ice, while in the bathtub, the puck is a live hand grenade.

Big ice is more entertaining, because big hits don't cover up for the mostly atrocious play you see in the NHL, where skill is less important than... intangibles. You can still make big hits on big ice, you only have to be good at it and be a good enough skater to pull it off.

Usa definently has the edge even though Sweden has the puck possession. Usa can score whenever out of nowhere while Sweden needs 10 quality chances before they score.

Joel is made for the NHL, a total mystery he didn't make it (succeed). Delivering hits, outworking his opponents and winning faceoffs on a constant basis.

It would be harder to stop Gaudreau on the big ice, that's for sure.

I mostly agree. Big ice hockey is more creative and interesting. Might be less intensive and less physical but at least there is room to make a play. NHL games are often just a mess.

Yeah, because interferences are so much harder to pull off to slow the game down. If you want to interfere with an opponent on big ice, you will look like a clown. In the NHL bathtub, interferences are a natural flow of the game, which kills the flow immensely.

On big ice, skilled and fast players can move around at will, because they can simply skate around the cement defenseman trying to tie him up.

It's as simple as that, the game has grown too fast for both the bathtub rink and the refs. Players are simply too good overall.

Oh dear ... it seemed you can do whatever you want as long as you do it with your stick. But finally a call

Big ice over small for me. But I don't mind having like one tournament with small ice like the World Cup or whatever every once in awhile

I strongly prefer NHL sized rinks even if big ice with NHL level of officiating should be entertaining too.

5 PPs for Sweden
0 PPs for the US

Seems about par for the course for the IIHF. Euro bias!

*relax I'm just having fun
