In last four years they have three top 4 finishes. Yes they really underperform. And any of those teams wasnt really top national team for US.

Also so tired hearing people crying that US players do not even try. In last four years those three top 4 results has been better what you should expect from those teams. I understand that people are upset because top players skip this tournament almost every year but these teams surely try their best.

Of course they try their hardest. If they accept an invite they're there to play hard. Of course it does not carry the same significance in the North American players minds as it does in Europeans, but that's just the way it is. The aggravating thing is having to use guys like Jordan Greenway while top 10 players in the world like Kane and Auston Matthews sit at home, not that I blame them for it.

Elite on PP, needs improvement 5v5.

I agree, he's the quarterback of any PP unit he's on. So patient with the puck. He does this well 5v5 too but my only gripe with Eichel is he tries too many times to make the perfect pass when he has a clear shot on net. He's got quite the eye for passing lanes don't get me wrong but sometimes it pays off to be a little greedy with the puck

I'm sure this is the obvious retort but... 10 shots game 1.

That said I watched first 2 periods today and saw exactly what you're talking about. Eichel with an open lane and an open net, and looking to pass.

I think the biggest problem I have with Eichel is his reluctance to make a quick decision of any type. He doesn't like to share the puck quick enough to get the whole team involved, preferring to just hang onto it in the hopes of setting up a back door pass.

He needs to move the puck quicker - more give and go's and quicker shots and less selfish passing. That should hopefully help him to start moving his feet a bit more when he doesn't have the puck, which is a whole other problem area for him.
