I'm still hopeful that those times will come again But we need to grow a new generation(s) of players, currently we're mostly running on the "lost generation" (the one that got neglected the most an didn't have much opportunity to grow) and the few decent players that were an exception to the rule, have said no to the national team this year.

Add to it the completely incompetent pseudo-coach who lacked any semblance of self-reflection and accepted the job offer despite total lack of required skills and you get yet another struggle for top category retention.

PS: Congrats to Latvia for this win and best of luck to our guys in the games to come.

Unless we go back to lower division years, the only possible time that could have happened probably is 2009. Not often we get to three wins in a single championship

There aren't many to begin with, some declined because of age, some were injured and some declined because their contract is up and didn't want to risk an injury.

Ceresnak did not cover his player before 2nd and 3rd goal. I know it was during well played PP, but still I think he is weak and slow around our net. Not the first time.

He is Plzen's 3rd line defender, and still rather young, can't expect him to be rock solid.

With Meszaros, Jaros, Granak, Baranka and now Sekera not available, we're missing almost all our T1 and T2 defensemen.
