So, anyone stats savvy can confirm if we're now the worst penalty killing team on this WCH?

Don't be harsh Latvia's star power on PP is too much to handle :sarcasm: Also Italy allowed 6 PP goals today so they have to be close if not worse.

Solid as always. Fact that hes still not in NHL boggles my mind.

Thank you. Yeah, in Lugano he has been outstanding. What boggles my mind is that he signed an extension in Lugano WITHOUT an out clause for the NHL. But he is so loved here that if he were to tell management that he wanted to go to the NHL, they'd probably let him go.
Well, it's Columbus' business.

Slovaks are so.lucky. Dracecky should get 5 + KO ...now another penalty high stick to Girgesons face 2+2 and nothing

He simply doesn't want to go there with Bob being such a strong number 1, that is my guess.

The refs aren't the brightest today in general. Also a missed too many Latvians on ice a while ago. So yeah, plenty of poor penalty judgements, quick whistles and a few missed calls. I'm not even mad though.

The kid has an intensity to himself and a drive that are quite stunning. He literally becomes a beast when things matter the most. I don't think that it's a problem re Bob. I seriously think he just loves it in Lugano.

I don't like that russian refree Gofmann (or something like that) from EHT matches, maybe he is better in KHL if they nominated him on world champs.

Lucky? Disallowed goal, Matousek got a pretty strict 5 minute penalty, so I think it's only fair Dravecky didn't. How is that lucky is beyond me.

Anyway, congrats on the win Latvia.

EDIT: Dravecky player of the game

Deserved 3 pts points for Latvia in the end. They were less impressive than I expected though. For this Slovak roster, it was an OK team performance, pretty much to the team's limits, OK game from Kudrna and Miklik. Dravecky(c) deserves a scratch.
Refs were awful, on both sides really, maybe slightly gave Latvia a break with that quick whistle, but that doesn't downplay the result.

Slovakia B AND Denmark. 6 points from more or less equal opponents are nice. It's not like those are the teams that can't do damage to Germany which is the likeliest opponent for a place in 1/4 finals at the moment.
