France has a chance to get some points mainly if the goaltender Hardy is on fire and if Stephane Da Costa is in a good day :D
Should be fun to watch anyway, maybe the first big upset ?

Like many others here, I'm totally rooting for France in this one, but reason tells me it'll be a lulling 5:2 for the Sbornaja. :skeptic:

As a Canucks fan, are those Russian d-men playing ahead of Tryamkin really better than him?

Hope that Guillaume Leclerc (173 cm / 5'8") will not be crushed by Tryamkin (200 cm / 6'7" and 120 kg / 265lbs)
:help:

Team Russia lineup:

Starter: Koshechkin
Backup: Shestyorkin

D
Kiselevich-Gavrikov
Nesterov-Zaitsev
Khafizullin-Tryamkin
Yakovlev

FW
Kaprizov-Datsyuk-Dadonov
Grigorenko-Anisimov-Buchnevich
Shalunov-Andronov-Mamin
Barabanov-Kablukov-Mikheyev

No scratches, as other roster spots are open for now.

Why isn't Bertrand in the lineup?
Genuinely interested since he looked like he was fine after he won the championship for my favorite FEL team

Bertrand declined for personal reasons.
We don't know exactly why. But we know it's a difficult relationship with the National team. Bertrand played some WC the past seasons, a little bit buried on a 3rd or 4th line and the relation with the coach looked like difficult. I don't know if it's the reason. He's going to get married this summer, could also be a reason.

Bertrand and the coach Dave Henderson are not big friends
That's a bit odd but we are used to it unfortunately...
Next year with the new coach, we may have a chance to see him play with France tough

@stv11 apparently my earlier report was slightly incorrect in terms of right/left sides, so can you please switch: Gavrikov and Kiselevich; Tryamkin and Khafizullin; Mamin and Shalunov.

Really bad defense for France this period. Lack of movement, bad passes... our worst fears were on display. We knew defense would be our weak point, anyway.
It was better in the end of period, though.
The ice looks terrible, as well, but it's not an excuse.
