I agree. Not many rebounds or redirections that lead to a goal. Initially I thought it was just bad luck but it seems like they are just weak in front of the net.
Edit: a bit of bad luck as well. All these pucks dancing on the goal line...
Terrible game, we shoot a lot but that is it. We need more people than Bäckström and Nylander to start to create some real scoring chances. If this team doesnt step up we could get eliminated in the quaterfinals.
They'll send another terrible team to the tournament without having to worry about being relegated.
Slovakia are missing 13 NHL'ers and many of their best players in Europe, yet they gave this Swedish team problems.
Sweden has been playing underwhelming hockey the entire tournament. There's no intensity... If they don't get their **** together they are getting eliminated in the quarter finals.
Because the refs gave you 6 free PPs. The slovaks deserved to lose 8-2 today. Your dirtywork on nylander didnt go unnoticed
I agree. They obviously watched the swe-usa game and saw that Sweden had problems with turnovers and went with that game plan. It's not like they were far from stealing a point either. Only 1 goal down at the end of the third.

And yeah, refs in this tournament suck, what else is new.

It feels like all the Swedish defensemen are playing with 50 kg weights strapped to their legs. The second goal was caused by a bad turnover, but I expected Hedman to catch the guy. It wasn't Grabner or McDavid he was chasing...
Nylander plays like a mega-star. The powerplay finally started using a single defender on the point. Lundqvist looked better in goal, seems to get used to the angles on the big ice.
Söderberg was invisible again, Everberg, Nordström and J. Lundqvist were all much more impactful. Cannot imagine Omark not being an upgrade at this point.

The no-show penalty for Sweden was a bit to much. The team was told by the arena guys to stay in the locker room because of the ice. Then when they had the ok to enter the ice and did so they got a penalty for being late...
Meh, if it wasn't for two too many men penalties and a delay of game penalty the score would probably be 4-0.
