US just played terrible period. Latvia take almost every battle and first line is lost. Eichel take one assist but it was for Latvia.

Keller is just a great playmaker. Easily could have 8-9 points right now in the tournament if his teammates could finish at all. No idea how his pass to Schmaltz didn't result in a goal. Team either passes up great chances or misses wide open nets.

I'm beginning to have serious doubts about this U.S. team. I think I just may have to shelve my Canada v USA dream final for another year. It looks as though it will be a 1/4 final match up.

Possibly. Just a shame Darzins is injured. I'd consider Latvia real contenders with him.

You should let go of the unrealistic expectations that you year after year keep setting for the US team.

It's just too young of a team. So many better veterans could have been on this team. And then the vets they do bring are far less skilled then the kids. Like Jimmy Howard should not be over there in net. They are good but could be so much more.

This US team has serious issues with Hanifin, Gaudreau and Eichel being the biggest ones
They would need more Murphy, Larkin and Nelson. Maybe Skjei and Hayes will be able to help the team.
