Either USA wins 5-1 or France wins 2-1.

Depends on whether USA comes to play or coast.

France is so bad. It's been a while since I've saw them play this bad. USA doesn't have to give everything to win this.

Terrible 1st period. We're late on every action.
We knew defense was below average and it shows.
Our 4 best players are not there and it's difficult for the others to step up. Half of the roster has less than 7 games in WC, the lack of experience is ugly.

Oh dear, this France's bad. USA's not playing great but somehow France's downright awful. I thought they'd be better, I don't remember them having been this bad in the past few events.

By the way, drives me insane how TSN pronounces Ylönen "Jalonen".

French have been terrific this period. Loved Bertrand’s determination getting the puck to the net. I am worried about this US team. Third pairing isn’t ready to play at this level and no one is interested in getting inside position anywhere on the ice.

Hequefeuille is all over the ice isn’t he? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a defenseman in front of the puck as much as he is.

France deserves a goal
a good game to learn for our youngsters

I like the mix of young and veterans for USA
Wouldn't be surprised to see them on the podium of the tournament

Mika Saukkonen (finnish guy who is calling this game for C More Sports),,.. his name pronunciation is so embarrassing
that its not funny, but really annoying.

Brady Skjei becomes Braddy Skay
van Riemsdyk becomes vanrimmsdick
Hughes becomes Hughex
Eichel becomes Eihell

(no joke)

Watched the Denmark game too, France is building some pretty good depth. Perret, Rech, Thiry, Gallet, Bozon, Claireaux, Texier, etc give them the ability to be competitive even without their top guys being available.
