Gusev is in. Correct lines for Russia should be:

Gusev - Datsyuk - Kaprizov
2nd line - no changes
Dadonov - Andronov - Mikheyev
4th line - no changes

Khafizullin(injury) replaced by Bereglazov.

Yeah, Switzerland also has not a history beating Russia (in comparison to CZE, CAN, SWE, etc.). Last two games were pretty clear, last close game was 2009, last win 2000. It's probably something like 60-40 for Russia. Or even more.

But Switzerland has a good team and like to play forward and we know that Russia sometimes can loose their defensive stability. Could be a nice offenisve minded game with a lot of scoring chances.

Switzerland with the better team (nhler). 3:2 for the swiss

An upset is quite possible, but we don't have the better team. Russia was, is, and will always be the favourites in this matchup.

A few years ago, everyone expected a blowout so we have gone quite a distance over the last decade especially regarding to depth and high-end forwards.
Hoping for points today, but it needs a huge effort.

I think Russia should take this, but it won't be too easy in my opinion. I say a win in regulation by a 1 or 2 goal margin, something like 4-2 Russia.

Doesn't Russia have more NHLers than Switzerland?

Dadonov, Buchnevich, Zaitsev - that's it... I mean, solid NHLers and not fringe ones like Mamin or Soshnikov. Of course, we have Dats, who's still as good as any NHLer, and Gusev, who could probably be a star in the NHL as well.

How is Anisimov not an NHLer?

5-2 Russia

Mamin replaced Mikheyev on the third line for the pre-game skate.

Even without josi and fiala the swiss are at least not that much worse than the russians ;). But their face off f***ed up....
