Krüger and Omark are playing very well together. Everytime we get a few shifts in a row in Latvias zone it starts with Krüger and Omark taking a long shift where they put a lot of pressure on the offensive zone.

I don't understand how Nylander can play so smart with the puck but when he doesn't have it he seem to be, by far, the dumbest player on the ice.
 
Krüger's been really good, one of the few real bright spots in this tournament.
 
I agree with the studio guys, what is Grönborg thinking with that defenseman drop pass setup on the PP? It's the same thing every. single. time. It's mind-boggling he doesn't realize how predictable it is.

The Nylander unit has absolutely no movement. Whoever gets the puck has zero options unless he does something with it himself.

The issue isn't as much the setup, it's the predictability as you said. Doesn't matter what you do if you do it every time regardless of options, it'll be easy to neutralize.
 
I though the usa game was bad in terms of missed chances. This is even worse. It's not like the goalie is doing anything spectacular either. It's just the Swedes that are constantly missing the open net.

Can we replicate this with an experiment in which I hit you in the face with my elbow in thay same exact angle with the exact same force and then measure your ability to stay on your feet? We can run it several times for more reliable results.
 
Latvia is playing a small box with five men so it's not easy. You can't score against it if you play at 90%, they are used to such tempo from KHL.
 
Latvians should shoot that friggin puck. They had several glourious chances but tried to play the extra pass instead of taking the shot. Probably shouldn't try to be cute being one goal down...
 
Yeah they can't take physical contact but don't give the refs the benefit. Stupid.
