Personally I don't see how much would it help to have more players in the NHL if the only way to watch them is at the small hours. How well are the current NHL players known in Denmark? I'd be surprised if even one-tenth could name a Danish NHLer.

Which is exactly why we need more "stars". But I am quite sure that our players in NHL are more known to the main public than players in SHL

Not doubting that but if the NHL players remain largely unknown to the public, I'm not sure if it's a good deal for Danish hockey.

I understand what you are saying and to a certain point I agree. If our progress continues we will have a dozen or so pkayers in SHL within two or thee years. Add to that a handful in KHL and another handful in FEL and DEL which is going to be our base the next decade.

True, but the NHL players are definitely better known than basically any other Danish player. Our biggest problem to overcome is the lack of facilities, and to get more rinks built, I believe we need the sport to become move visible. The NHL players can help us with that much more than the Danish league, which has consisted of the same 8-10 clubs for years and years. Sadly, the league and the federation haven't really been able to convince any new cities to make rinks for as long as I can remember.

Let's hope next year's World Championships (where we're probably going to see all available Danish NHL players in the team) can do even more to improve hockey in Denmark.

Namestnikov could shift to the wing too. Not looking forward to Orlov's gold medal game giveaways but fine.

I'd rather have Orlov who's matured even more through another NHL playoffs than see Zub or Gavrikov get burned by the Canadian stars

I like Gavrikov and his defensive role is different from Orlov's.

Orlov will be relied upon to move the puck and he will have his usual brain cramps. If he gets more playing time than Provorov I will be unhappy.

True, Orlov makes really crude errors sometimes. Gavrikov has been quite solid so far, don't know if Orlov can improve anything there.

orlov is like a chicken without the head. don't understand all the hype. namestnikov is ok, but it pains me to see the players of such calibre on the russian team. beggars can't be choosers i guess

Which is why it's nice to see Kuznetsov on the roster.
