It usually goes bad when we face Russian...we have made upsets against big team before in years where we had played like crap in thr previous matches but just doesnt happen vs Russia...just too much quality.

Danes got their hands full today.

here's a tip, stay out of the penalty box. you just might keep it close.

We did have that one game, dont remember what year, that we lost 4-3 I think in OT?

But yeah, Russians usually dont underestimate us, and come out full steam.

I think this will be 9-2 Russia.

Lots of time in the Denmark zone for Russia, but they didn't manage many shots for the pressure they had and very few good opportunities.

Denmark have cut out the penalties so far, which helps.

And then you'd have neither of them playing for you.

As much as I want our best players to be playing for Denmark at the World Championships, I would honestly prefer getting even more players in the NHL. It feels like it would benefit the development of hockey in Denmark more to have a lot of high profile players over there.

Now, if only we also could get some more hockey rinks in Denmark, we would really have something to look forward to...

True, but we need more idols for young people to look up to.

Personally I don't see how much would it help to have more players in the NHL if the only way to watch them is at the small hours. How well are the current NHL players known in Denmark? I'd be surprised if even one-tenth could name a Danish NHLer.
