If we lose I'm never watching hockey again.

you never know in sport, but not happening. Looks as though this team is starting to come together and will be a challenge to beat in the quarters.

Still holding out for my dream final Canada v USA.

Well can't say I'm surprised that Bjugstad is on the 4th line.

He was lackluster in the regular season, putting it nicely. Any news on him, as I've missed the games so far.

I don't think the line rankings is all that accurate. They'll almost surely get more ice time than the 3rd line

They are often in a random order on the official game sheet and I don't bother with swapping them to match it. I just make sure the combinations are right.

Wasn't trying to criticize. More just pointing out that the positions of the lines don't mean too much.

How has Compher looked? Haven't seen a Team USA game yet but he was quite often Colorado's best player during the final month of the regular season. Kid is goooood.

Fairly mediocre period for the US. Dominating Italy in regards to zone time but other than the Nelson goal, haven't tested Bernard anywhere near enough. Defensemen gotta be better at making plays from the point. A couple times Hanifin was too slow in getting the puck down low to forwards that helped Italy recover and break the play up

Agreed. They've been all over Italy but their o-zone possession has been real sloppy. If they can get comfy and start moving the puck laterally on crisp passes the goals will start flowing imo.
