Surprise alert! Hopefully Finns will be too much for rusty Canadians.

We've just thrown together our team with very little preparation time and the Finns have been at it working together for quite some time now so I can see them taking this one, would have liked this game after we had played a few tilts first and then I am confident we would beat them. It might be a real sloppy game.

Vehvilainen scratched? What?
Nobody knows yet who's the projected starter, who's the backup, and who's third string. It's guesswork based on the fact that Lankinen and Olkinuora were on the EHT.

All three goalies have also been registered, so we can't deduce anything even from that.

Correct, I couldn't find anything about the goalies so I went with the ones who played in the EHT.

Feel free to let me know if you have any information.

They don't have any special record against Canada,as already mentioned, the U.S is who have been giving Canada problems lately.
Yes but the last 5 Games the Finns won 3 vs CAN(2014,16 and 18)

Going to have to be a special tournament for Canada with that underwhelming roster, at least for Canadian standards, losing Tavares will be felt.

so? not only is that about the smallest sample size possible but it's only 3 out of 5 which isn't exactly dominating or anything like that.

I know Finland is good but they don't have any history of being Canada's "kryptonite" like that poster implied.

Yes right! But i think this impressive vs the biggest and mightiest hockey nation in a world. ;)

It's a good record against us at this thing of late , but it's not exactly a secret that Finland is a real good hockey nation, the days of going in expecting to beat Finland have been over for a long time now.
