The swiss won the last two games agst the czechs on olympia. 3:2 for switzerland.

Switzerland is a +145 underdog, was even more before that +175 or so. might drop a few bucks.

Raphael Diaz back in the lineup for Switzerland. Fabrice Herzog to sit (together with Bodenmann), so 8D and 12F.

I enjoyed to see a match were Switzerland managed to score for once, can we do that again?
Anyways, I hope for more hockey like the first period against Korea.

This is what I really hate about team...when we are dominating like this on 5on5 and still have played so much more time in PK than opposite team..

Czech way better in the 2nd period, they would have deserved at least one goal.

I wonder if Fischer would risk pulling the goalie if it's still 1-1 late in the game.

There is one team on the ice when it's 5on5. Typicall Czech hockey game ... they completely dominate in possesion and scoring chances, no goals scored. This usually means they lose the game.

Praplan benched. And it's not undeserved.

Praplan was a big disappointment so far. He showed last year at the WC, that he can hang at the international level. He was also heating up in the NLA before the Olympics, so I had some hopes for him. Unfortunatley he couldn't live up to them so far. Haas below the expectations as well...

Deserved win for Czechs. It was not easy game, like always with Switzerland, but our players show they want it, really good game from them. The dominance in 2nd period was amazing.

Deserved win for the Czechs, they wanted it more. Czech players' productivity is very bad tho, so many quality scoring chances and zero goals to see. Gotta hope it brings us some luck into the QF and on.

Considering how much trouble the Swiss have been giving our team in the past few years, this is a win that really counts. Catastrophic conversion of chances though. Dominance on the ice needs to translate into something tangible like goals.

Also, this team needs to improve its discipline, they are shorthanded too often. I could forgive some of the shorthanded situations against Canada because many of the Czech fouls were imaginary (the referees should have just dropped the act and worn Canadian jerseys, it was that ridiculous at times). That said, even in the Canadian game, some of the Czech fouls were proper fouls, and they were unnecessary. If the Czech players end up visiting the penalty box too often, they will lose the quarter finals.
