As a neutral fan, what would it cost to for Dallas to upgrade Faksa and Colin Miller to Greenway and Dumba?

Even with 50% retention on Dumba (who is a pending UFA), it might be too much cap going to Dallas, so I propose adding Anton Khudobin and Zane McIntyre (both pending UFAs) into the trade and Minnesota retaining 25% on Dumba. It ultimately ends up being Dallas taking on $0.192m in cap altogether with Faksa Miller McIntyre swapping for Greenway Dumba (@75%) Khudobin.

What does Dallas need to add to entice Minnesota into making this trade?

It's simply not happening. That's too much cap with term going to Minnesota.

You are asking MN to take on 2M more next year in this deal, nvm that the quality of the players is less. A complete and utter nonstarter. Not sure why you would think MN would be interested, given their cap situation.

Dumba could be had, but honestly he's probably going to be a self-rental this year unless someone offers at least a 2nd.

The purpose of trading Greenway would be to gain cap space for next season. The Wild won't take back cap with term unless it's an upgrade.

Wild can not take on cap past this year.
I feel like Colin Miller could be moved for Future Considerations around the draft or July 1st. Low commitment, decent depth player, small-ish cap hit. After the playoffs, it'll be a 1 year contract at $1.85m cap hit.

Faksa's cap hit is only $0.25m higher than Greenway and same number of years. Actually, perhaps Dallas retains 10% on Faksa and then Minnesota retains 5% extra on Dumba, so that it balances now, but for the next two seasons, Minnesota isn't taking on any cap whatsoever.

Basically for Guerin: add $0.25m in cap until 2025 (or add none if Dallas retains 10% on Faksa), and he has to go through the hastle of finding somebody to take Colin Miller's contract for free in the offseason. BUT Minnesota get whatever assets Dallas is giving here in exchange for that.

minnesota has a ca problem next year. They don’t want high salary coming back in the trade for next year.

right now they have 9 slots and $9M in space.

Hey, the Wild discovered Khodubin back in 2004.

I like homecomings, but the Wild are set at goalie for a long time.

They're exploring moving Greenway to free up space for next year, which is why it's not beneficial to swap players with term.

How is this good for Dallas? Seems like a downgrade from Faksa to greenway. Not thrilled about Dumba either.

What the hell has happened to Greenway. Not long ago he was thought to be the future of the Wild or at least had way better value.

He had multiple upper body injuries in the off-season and then re-injured himself in his first game back this season, likely is not playing fully healthy. He still skates fine and his defensive play has been good, the advanced stats are pretty friendly to him when you include strength of competition, but he has a 1.7% shooting percentage and has almost no power on his shot currently.
