if you want to cheer for a team that makes fewer mistakes than we did tonight you will never ever be happy. How do you enjoy any sport?
Good for you for joining the gatekeeping bandwagon. Must be a hell of a ride.

What about any of my posts in GDTs or elsewhere makes you think I don't enjoy watching this team? Maybe your sarcasm meter is broken after all this time.

Yes, they frustrate the hell out of me, and a lot of other people at times. But I literally don't watch a single other sport. Die hard sens fan man. I'm taking time out of my holiday to still watch this team and shit talking with the rest of you. Love riding the highs, and commiserating in the lows. It's not up to you, or anyone else, to question that, and if anyone else wants to have a go at it, they can kindly go f*** themselves before hand.

He didn’t blame the goaltending directly but it was basically implied.

He said that was the best game they’ve played since Boston or Toronto, 95% of the time you win that game, said 8 shots against 5v5, 2 shots in the third period. Refused to nitpick anything because they played a great game. At most he acknowledged PK has to be better and they probably could have scored more but “easier said than done”. Then he told Bruce off for continuing to ask with the expectation that he critiques their game.
I was surprised there were no specific questions about Forsberg. Not that I would expect a candid answer or anything worth hearing, but I expected someone would at least ask about it. Green is right, you win that game 9 times out of 10.

Good.

Too bad he can't also shut down the anti-fans around here.
Look, i've been fanning for this team since they drafted Chris Phillips, when I was a child. I've been through the worst of times, the best of times and then the worst again. I grow weary of this team and anyone pretending to have boundless optimism related to their play. They can outplay every team in the league. I mean they outplayed Philly for instance and the Flyers still beat us too. They beat us and then we shit the bed and went below .500 for the month for November.

Unless this team shows me otherwise, I don't care how well they play, when it results in losses. We lost the special teams game tonight. We lost the goals game tonight. We lost the PK game tonight. We lost the PP game tonight. Our goalie got out goalied and now we again sit below .500. We are not making the playoffs playing like this. We can talk about process all we like, but at the end of the night it's about results. I expect results as a fan. I've waited long enough and paid enough for Jersey's and away games. I've watched enough crappy feeds or terrible coverage on TV. I'd love to live in whatever la la land you're currently enjoying, but I don't.

This team needs to win five games in a row, instead of losing five. They need to get on a positive streak, instead of winning two and losing three. Staios needs to do something. He's made some mistakes already, with the free agent signings that have literally done nothing to make our team better offensively. He didn't trade Forsberg in the off-season, which was another mistake. I don't want to watch another season where we miss the playoffs, because of Staios' or Green's inability to spark this team

Oh my f*** you knew what I meant man. Wasn’t some personal attack.
I meant in the context of defensive mistakes. Every team in the league will frustrate you you make you unhappy if you’re looking for less mistakes than tonight.

Also I can’t make you stop watching sports or successfully gatekeep the sport and fandom from you. So you’re tiny little outburst has us back where we started

Well do you hold yourself to the same standard in life? Like no matter what goes wrong it has to result in a win? I’m guessing not.

Like the issue was clear tonight. We need a new backup goalie.

We can play Ullmark 82 games (and Ullmark was complete ass for the first part of the season anyway).

How could green spark the team tonight? Like offer ideas. What could he do differently. You can say well he could have started Ullmark. But the thing is he started his back up and he coached his team to give the opposition nothing. What more could Travis green do.

Looks like a case of you needing to better express what you mean.

Also just gonna note that we didn't start anything. You chimed in of your own volition when I was replying to someone else.

What a weird take.

For all the great play they showed today, it still wasn't good enough. They made mistakes, and costly ones at that. Fair game for criticism, and if you don't like it, my man, that's on you.
I mean, I didn't like Hamonic on the one goal, or Jensen/Chabot on the goal after the penalty to Norris, Forsberg was bad.

The rest of the game was pretty damn good. Every team makes mistakes every game, I get criticism of specific plays, but its pretty tough to be critical of the overall game imo.

Or maybe don’t take talk of….scoring chances in a game in which a bunch of cooked out degenerate kids slap a puck around so personally.

When the game was over, I had a snack, watched a bit of tv and went to bed. I've spent the last hour wondering why I'm not tired. Forgot the fckn game started at 5..... I'm buying velcro shoes tomorrow. I not smart enough for laces.

Yeah... Like I said. For all the great play tonight, specific mistakes cost us the game. Mistakes they shouldn't have made. Loved 90% of the play tonight. 10% killed us and we lost. I don't like that outcome. The end result is what I'm being critical of. That wasn't a game we shouldnt have lost, and yet we did. How often do we keep saying stuff like that with this team?

Do you understand what you meant here? Because I'm not sure I do man.

So we we win a game like we did against SJ I guess we played good enough?

Every team makes mistakes they shouldn't have every game. Ours cost us tonight, it happens. Theirs didn't because sorokin made the saves.

Sucks that we lost, I'll gladly take us playing like that for the next 55 games, it should get us into the playoffs pretty easily.

Nailed it.

That's also why I find the "main character syndrome" accusation so rich. These people act like no other team ever makes any mistakes, and it's always us making mistakes, and anything less that absolute perfection is a massive failure. That's the epitome of main character syndrome.

Would I hold myself to the same standard? Most of them make in one minute, what I have to work a month to get. But you expect me to hold myself to their standards?

All of the sudden you've changed your tune and because I am angry about their play, you're criticizing me? Get bent bud.

Or we go on another five game losing streak through the month of December.

Nailed it, to the guy who just before pointed out specific mistakes our players made that lost us the game. Yeesh.

Main character energy: believing that people who disagree with you here are anti fans. That labeling is the height of arrogance and self assuredness. I absolutely hate that kind of talk. It's beyond pathetic.
