Figured I would post this information in hopes it might help someone in the future. I learned alot about these two models by owning both. I've also noticed that most Graf reps have no clue of what they're talking about or don't stock many models so your left with incomplete information with which to choose a skate. I was actually just told by a LHS that sells Grafs that "the G3/703 and the G35/735 are the same skate". Clueless.

I have both the G3 11' model and G35 10' model, but the 703 and 735 are the same fit respectively.

Similarities
-Narrow, pronounced heel
-Materials
-Same holders and blades. Cobra UL5000
-pitch, stock radius, etc.

Differences-
-Depth. This is the main difference in the two skates. The G35 is roughly 1/4" deeper than the G3 at every eyelet.
-Width. Same in heel area, but the G3 is narrower in the forefoot. My G3 is a narrow vs. a G35 regular so that could be the difference.
-Weight. The G3 is lighter. They are the same materials so I attribute the difference due to the G3 being shallower(less material).
G3 size 10N-936 grams. 926g with a 84" lace!!
G35 size 10R-980 grams

My foot:
-narrow/pronounced heel, size 10 and C width on a Bauer and Graf gauge, Size 12 US in a Nike sneaker, very shallow from arch forward, high arch and prone to lace bite.

The G35 R width was just too deep for me. I could not get the skate tight on my foot. The G3 N width is much better. Any shallower in the arch area and I would have issues with lace bite, but so far so good.

Anyway, maybe that helps someone someday. I am just thankful that a company makes a skate for my foot since no one else even comes close. Thank you GRAF.

Lightly used G35X size 10R for sale:handclap:

I skate in a 703 and have been thinking about a G3 for this very reason. I tried them both on in a regular width when I bought my 703s and I thought the G3 was a little wider and more comfortable, but the 703 felt more locked in and so I went with that. I have very narrow, low volume feet. My 703s got better as I broke them in but now they seem to be getting worse. Hurting more and feel like they are just too shallow for me.

I tried on a 735 for grins and thought it felt very similar to my 703.

Yeah the forefoot width may actually be the same. The only concrete difference I see between G3 and G35 is depth. The G35 is deeper everywhere. In the G35 the sides of the skate were rolling up over the top of my foot (way too deep).

If you can get away with the shallower depth of a G3 then I would go there and save over 40 grams per skate.

I don't know if the G3 is slightly deeper than the 703 or not. If you need measurements let me know. I know it's a decent amount lighter and should last longer. HM had them on sale for roughly the same price as the 703 so no brainer.

Reviving this old thread. Went for a professional fitting with a Graf specialist this weekend and tried on a ton of skates. Turns out the 705 is the best for my foot. The regular width felt great, but he wants me to try on a narrow as well before I take them, so we have one on order. I also discovered the source of my right skate problems with my 703s were both a boot hot spot and the fact that I pronate my right foot and need to have my blade carrier moved in 1-2 degrees. They worked on stretching my boot and it felt so much better in my game last night. Really looking forward to the 705s properly aligned for my right foot.

I can't recommend enough to get properly fitted for the right boot. I put up with the pain too long.

Hi!
Who can tell which skates is more simmilar to G70? G3 or G35?

Both g3 and g35 fit completely different from the g70. If anything, the closest boot in graf's line would be the g9 and even that has its differences.
