Since it's Christmas break, I thought it was a good moment to give a proper evaluation of each player so far.
Cole Caufield : 94%. Already a top 10 goal scorer in the NHL!
Arber Xhekaj : 93%. The most unexpected success story you can imagine. He's a beast.
Kaiden Guhle : 91%. A great rookie year so far. A stud already at such a young age.
Samuel Montembeault : 89%. At age 26, he's finally showing he belongs to the NHL. Solid year so far.
Nick Suzuki : 87%. He's been struggling recently but he was stellar before that. A great captain.
David Savard : 84%. The steady veteran D that this young squad needed. His injury is hurting the team.
Jordan Harris : 82%. Another rookie D making a great first impression!
Sean Monahan : 81%. Great rebound year. Brings essential secondary scoring.
Kirby Dach : 78%. Great tools and good complement to CC and Suzuki. Doubt he'll ever be an offensive star though.
Christian Dvorak : 74%. Coaches trust him with defensive missions, but his offense is really nothing special.
Johnathan Kovacevic : 73%. A steady #6 D with size that we got for free? Ok!
Juraj Slafkovsky : 70%. Talented but inconsistent, which is totally normal for such a young guy.
Jake Allen : 68%. We saw the best and the worst from Allen so far. Consistency is an issue.
Josh Anderson : 65%. He can be such a force, but his numbers continue to be underwhelming.
Mike Matheson : 61%. Small sample, but so far, stellar offense, atrocious defense.
Mike Hoffman : 60%. The best among our bad wingers. His overtime goals partly make up for the rest.
Brendan Gallagher : 57%. Effort is still there. Shots and scoring chances are still there. He still makes things happen, but he cannot finish anything anymore and is becoming slower every second.
Jake Evans : 54%. Steady defense and that's it. He needs to produce more.
Joel Edmundson : 52%. You know the steady, hard to play against, stay at home veteran defenseman that is so badly needed? Well it's not him. Where is the Edmundson we saw 2 years ago?
Michael Pezzetta : 50%. He's been better recently, but earlier this year he played like his job was not his to lose.
Jonathan Drouin : 43%. At least he's been trying and he's involved in the play recently. But that's about it. His offense seems completely gone.
Chris Wideman : 40%. I really don't think he's NHL caliber. And definitely NOT a 1st PP quarterback.
Joel Armia : 38%. Was a ghost early in the season. Suddenly, he started trying, which is more than we can say about the last name on this list. Snakebitten.
Rem Pitlick : 27%. The jack-of-all-trade we saw last season has become a jack-of-no-trade.
Evgeny Dadonov : 15%. Such a useless player who so obviously doesn't care.
