Heard about this. I think I was more sad when they announced his illness. At this point it is for the better that he has passed.

RIP

this one bothers me. I'm old enough to have been listening to Gord and his band since 1987.

a sad day indeed.

Grew up listening to the Hip with my Dad driving to hockey practice. Glad I got to see them before he had to go.

A Canadian icon who represented the fabric of our country through his music and his actions. Rest in Peace Gord

Rest in Peace Gord. A true Canadian Icon and a fan of the game we all come here to discuss. The Hip are one of my favorite bands. A sad day indeed.
