Have to give credit to Canada's boxplay, but our powerplay this entire tournament rivals Ottawa's in terms of urgency and danger. Even if we win this game I want Grönborg fired, because it would be more because of individual efforts than because of him.

This will be close for 60 straight minutes

Tentative period, just feeling each other out I felt. Sweden slight edge but no serious chances either way. Sort of the way I'd like a gold medal game to start

As things look now Sweden is just here for a honorable loss.

The second pp was just plain awful.

When Canada has a chance like that they increase the tempo and have the mindset to score, throw everything on the opponents goal and push it in.

Instead Sweden stopped skating and seemed like they were waiting for 5 on 5 again ...

Hmmm...to me it seemed like a fast paced, freewheeling period...with good chances at both ends...Duchene sh had Henrik at his mercy and the puck slid off his stick...one of our guys rang one off a post too...forget who?

Swedes, who forechecked agressively, had great chances, eg Nylander on pp, as well...There were turnovers in the neutral and D zones on both sides, again due to agressive forecheck

There were a couple of decent chances both ways (MacK post, Duchene open net but the puck spun, Nylander in close all alone, etc.) but I agree that it felt less urgent than it should have. Watch out on the fresh ice early in the second.

Like it always is there are storms you have to ride out against Canada

There is no question about the two best teams in this tournament. Sweden and Canada are in a class of their own.

canada playing well, time to start to skate and hit some bodys now to slow them down
