I've never understood Canadian hate for shootouts. Is it 94' and 98' olympics related?

Hockey is a team sport, shootouts are everything wrong with hockey. Play until a team wins.

Congrats to Sweden for winning but yeah a shootout to decide the gold medal winner in a World Hockey championship game is a bad idea. Play it sudden death in the gold medal game.
