Correct lineups for Sweden kudos.

Skinner at center over Scheifele? Seems odd. Has it been like that all tourney?

No, the line-up is very incorrect on CAN side in terms of forward lines.

Skinner-Scheifele-MacKinnon
O'Reilly-Giroux-Simmonds (either Giroux or O'Reilly takes the FOs, but otherwise Giroux is the center on this line)
Killorn-Couturier-Duchene
Konecny-Point-Marner
Schenn

Defense seems to be correct.

. . . oh and Let's Go Canada!! I am confident that Canada takes the Gold tonight. Can't underestimate Sweden though, they have some world class players on the roster.

I'll take a Nylander hattrick and a Canada win in OT goal from Marner.

Just win though, somehow, someway.

I feel like Canada is an underdog heading into this. We have better forwards but their D and goaltending is better. Shutdown Backstrom-Nylander and it should be a win but that's easier said than done.

Hoping for Canadian gold but think these two teams are equally good and I have a hard time calling either team favorite. Should be an interesting game - will watch it after Sens-Pens - hoping not to see the result beforehand.

Should be a great game today. Wonder if Canada will keep their momentum from their epic comeback yesterday. I think they will and win 3-2. Skinner gets the game winner late in the 3rd.

Canada is far from underdog heading into the game, Canada is a favorite team to win the Gold tonight.

I expect Canada succeed on a couple of solo raids through an inexplicable (no, it is coaching) static Swedish defence which results in say 2 goals and one in PP. Nylander with the Swedish goal, say 4-1 Canada (1 open net).

Don't take Sweden lightly

Nobody is taking Sweden lightly. Canada has respect for all teams and will continue to improve everyday including the Gold medal game.

This should be Canada's best game as is the strategy with all tournaments. Winner will most likely be decided by special teams.

the game is already over. canada will win 100 % . swedens defenders are playing without any physciality, canadas forward can do whatever they want to because of this.

If Sweden wins today it'll be their first gold medal game win vs Canada since the 1994 Olympics.

Since then it's been all Canada..

1997 WHC
2003 WHC
2004 WHC
2008 WJR
2009 WJR

Sweden's defence + goalie is ridiculous. As someone said, this game will be decided by special teams. End result 3-1 to any of the two.

I predict 4-2 Canada, with a late goal to put it away. Sweden has a much better defence and a better goaltender, Canada has better forwards. Stylistically Sweden tends to struggle with Canada when Canada plays aggressively. For that reason, players like MacKinnon, O'Reilly, Konecny and Schenn will be very important on the forecheck. Should be a good game.
