Congrats to Sweden. Game could have gone either way. Canada had their chances to win it in OT, but HL came up with some clutch saves. Only thing I would do over is put Scheifele out there in the Shootout over Marner.

I was starting to wonder where Winter Soldier was to rip on the Leafs in some way....you didnt disappoint.

Game came down to pickard being the worst goalie

Pickard is awesome. Colorado lucky to have him, didn't know what to expect at beginning of the tournament but he looks like a keeper. Calm goalie. He can be a #1 in this league.

After the character assassination of Nylander by some, it feels amazing to see him lead his team to Gold. The same people who were bashing him before are now his biggest fans.

I believe it was Bob Mckenzie who said before on draft day that he had a questionable attitude. Bob is eating his words every day along with other GM's.

I love the fighting spirit of this team. The powerplay didn't work and they had problems with goal scoring but every player on the team gave 110%

Probably because the Canadian Junior team lost the gold medal game in a shootout and now the world hockey championships in a shootout. So obviously Canadians want to get rid of the shootout lol

Our hatred of the shootout goes back to 98. I hate it in general, but I do understand why it is needed at international events where they share the ice. I would absolutely remove it in the NHL though.

Congrats Sweden. Willy and Backstrom were electric.

That's why you're sitting on your coach because that's an awful opinion.

Marner is a magician. The other 3 shooters didn't score before him either and Schiefele very well could've been the 5th shooter.

I don't even know what people were bashing Nylander for. He's an incredible hockey player. I don't even think he's a cocky player. He's really confident but he doesn't go around acting like a fool at any time in the game, doesn't play dirty, doesn't dive, doesn't embellish. He just goes out there and plays his game.

And of course the only goal you get tonigt is a filming another easy penalties given to Canada ....we have seen it before many times

I have to say watching Canada tonight i really really cant belive how Russia with so much better offensive than Sweden could not crush them last night..oh they got from the end of the second and in the 3 periode 4 penalties against them thats right and Belov with a 2 x 10 min...





If Canada wins gold this year, it will tie Russia for the most all-time golds at this tournament (27), if you include the Soviet Union era and Olympics that counted as World Championship results.

I don't think anyone reasonable would. Although, saying we had the worse goalie is fair, but that's more because Lundqvist is a legend.
