I prefer that, than the overuse of it that there is in many leagues, where they end every regular season game with a shootout when the scoring is even. But with that said, I would not mind it if it disapear all togehter, but it should absolutly not be in regular season games, where you do not have to proclaim a winner, in a playoff game you have to, so it make far more sense to have it in playoff games.

Tough loss. It sucks that it has to end in a shootout. Glad the rules are changing next time with it being a 4v4. It should be sudden death but I'll take a 4v4 before shootout. Very unlikely that there isn't a goal in 20 mins of 4v4 hockey.
At least as a Leaf fan, I'm glad the only two players we sent to the WHC got medals and Nylander MVP was a cherry on top to the incredible season he had.

Alex Killorn you had an open net in OT and shot it wide, darn. Anyway it was a good hockey game and congrats to Sweden and their fans. If any consolation for this Canadian fan, it was nice to see the King finally get a Gold.
He had a good game though, Canada had other chances to win it in OT but didnt. The blame should be put on them, not Pickard.

Congrats to Sweden. Game could have gone either way. Canada had their chances to win it in OT, but HL came up with some clutch saves. Only thing I would do over is put Scheifele out there in the Shootout over Marner.
Lol at people blaming Pickard. What about those pathetic shootout attempts by Canadian forwards?

Nylander with the tournament MVP award and I think it was a moral victory for Sweden, considering that dive. Both teams deserved to win though, a very even game. Canada created more dangerous chances, but the goalie is part of the team. Lundqvist was excellent, Nylander beasted, Hedman and Strålman beasted. Some were crap though, it was a live handgrenade game for them.

Congratulations! Its fun to see how excited europeans get for the tournament. Its more enjoyable to watch than most stanley cup games.
