US are favorites, no question! But Finland obviously has its chances. Finland won in the RR. Of course, that also plays a role in people’s minds. From a Finnish perspective, why not? The US is not unbeatable. The Czechs showed in the final period that the US is not invulnerable. Unfortunately, they made too many mistakes. Finland must not make these mistakes, then they have a small chance.

US and their NDTP have been amazing. They have played amazing and are going for a back to back. That would be cool too. I thought they played Czechs with great hockey and was really impressed.

Finland has been top nation in this tournament for a while and still a bunch of Finnish pessimists (me lncluded) predicted we may lose our QF. I am very happy this team has done so well.

I must say no matter what happens here, things must still be done for the Finnish hockey program because we are gonna fall off hard within 2 years. 2007 group is awful, 2006 is alright.
