No one in this thread cares.
You do enough to respond lol
No one in this thread cares.
I didn't know they gave a fake gold medal because NHL players didn't participate? You waited 20 years for a meaningless gold medal? How sad.
LOL, except Canada wins its Olympic golds against the world best players.
First of all, two medals - 1998 and 2002... Second, Russia was in the same boat as all the other nations, with the best players in the NHL.Go figure- Russia won one medal in 5 Olympics with NHL’ers and they basically win one with basically a bunch of no names.
Who, CBC? There's another event still on with Canadians participating. They've shown very few medal ceremonies through these olympics.Agreed.. they didn’t show Russia celebrate or any of the medal stuff.. what gives?
Are u trolling by leaving out Ovechkin?Russia in 2022 for back-to-back golds, byatchas.
Panarin - Malkin - Tarasenko
Gusev - Namestnikov - Kucherov
Kaprizov - Kuznetsov - Svechnikov
Volkov - Svetlakov - Buchnevich
Provorov - Voynov
Gavrikov - Sergachev
Rykov - Tryamkin
Zadorov - Zaitsev
Vasilevski - Bobrovsky
I kind of want to go to bed and skip the medal ceremony, but I'm curious to see what it's like when it's the Olympic flag that's raised and the Olympic anthem that's played instead of the Russian ones. That should be interesting.
It's an oar. Get it? OAR. Actually, I still don't get it.

Well they didn't, what's the point? Russia, Canada, USA, they all have way more professional players with or without NHLers. Russia had 4 weeks to prepare, Germany 1 including traveling to Korea. It was a great run, it's silver in the end. If Canada had won they'd be boasting about their incredible depth and how they can ice 100000 teams that could beat any other team. Now little hockey Germany won silver, fought Russia until OT. It's a great day for German hockey, don't know why you're trying to taint it.
Do I have any problem admitting that? I have never commented on that. For the record, I don't care about the quality of competition. It's the Olympics.Let's not kid ourselves. German's are huge bandwagon fans. I was born there, lived there for 3/4 of my life. If a German would suddenly dominate the World Wheelbarrow Racing Circuit they would stay up and watch it at 3 AM regardless of how silly it is.
Why is it so hard to admit that this tournament wasn't exactly a tournament that displayed the best hockey athletes in the world?
Typical CBC and their BS, despite their good Olympic broadcast as always. Is CBC not showing the Russians celebrate or post game? What gives

Nice to see Germany lose. Celebrated win over Canada like Gold medal (400 Canadians in NHL and only 5 Germans lol) and choked on pp 2 minutes left on the final. LOL. Deserved to lose.
Not Canadian. But I hate that people made it out to be some kind of cinderella story and viewed Canada as big bad Canada. Other has 400 best players in NHL and other 5 0r 7![]()
Most people don't even follow the game if we're honest.North American's views and European views on international play are very different. So while Canadians and Americans make discount this Russian win, I'm sure it's very relevant to Russian fans. Congrats to them as well as they were clearly the best team in the tournament.
But Germany was the story of this tournament and I hope hockey can start to thrive there. It stings now, but what a story.![]()
So basically whenever the NHL does not go minus 1994 the Russians will win
If that's in a best on best NHL players, that blueline is pretty weak.Russia in 2022 for back-to-back golds, byatchas.
